About Your Artistic Directors

Artistic Directors, Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard are co owners, founders and artistic directors of Planet Dance Downtown and Uptown! and award winning contemporary dance company Exhale Dance Tribe. Recently, Hubbard and Lay-Zimmer were nominated for a Princess Grace Award (Grace Kelley) for their choreography with the Cincinnati Ballet and LIVE music by Over the Rhine. Exhale Dance Tribe danced for THE EVENT at Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center with OBEY designer and artist Shepherd Fairey. They are choreographers for Cincinnati Ballet and Exhale Dance Tribe and numerous performing arts high schools and dance academys around the U.S. They are on faculty and staff for Shock Intensive with master teacher choreographers; Dee Caspary, Marty Kudelka (Justin Timberlake’s choreographer, Cris Judd and Napoleon & Tabatha to name a few and Planet Dance “ON TOUR”, a dance education performance project. As veterans of 4 Broadway shows in NYC, working on SNL, Today Show, and in the commercial and print industry, Hubbard & Lay-Zimmer mentor and educate the professional development of dancers, triple threat talent and choreographers.
